Check-Six Gaming manager Jeff "HunteR_" Hunter has officially picked up a Heroes of Newerth team, tagged [x6] in game.

“Check-Six Gaming has always supported the DotA community, and we were one of the first teams to pick professional DotA as an eSport avenue. It's only logical we start by being one of the first to pick a team for DotA's successor.

Heroes of Newerth shows a lot of promise in eSports and our sponsors are very excited to take that journey with us. This team is currently the best in the world, they show a lot of dedication, skill, and have HoN down to an art.

Using a unique strategy to decide on a team to sponsor, Check Six partnered with Hon League, S2 Games, and Microsoft Sidewinder to host a 128 tournament where the winners will be the official Check Six Heroes of Newerth team and take home some Microsoft Sidewinder products.Already being an established team, We Heart Pigs won the tournament and became the new Check Six Gaming team.

Check Six Gaming has been on a hot streak ever since picking up the new team as we won the Third GameReplays Tournament, currently holding the first place seat for the GameReplays Invitational Tournament. The Check Six HoN Team is currently ranked #1 in the world according to Honcasts Community Top 10 list and are very well deserving of the rank. These successes have fortified our decision in sponsoring this team.

In a rapidly growing e-sport community, Check Six Gaming is the first US organization to sponsor a team on Heroes of Newerth and are very proud of whom we picked up. Despite HoN still being in beta, the game has a lot of hype and potential to be the next big e-sport, already with tournament announcements at the very successful LAN organization Dreamhack. Check Six wanted to get a head start amongst the other organizations and we have accomplished that.

There is nothing but a bright future for both Check Six Gaming and Heroes of Newerth, and we are just excited to be a part of the early building process. We look forward on not only seeing Check Six Gaming succeed, but competitive HoN growing as a whole.
