Delpan speaks about his removal

Former SESK Gaming AWPer SEMarcus ‘Delpan’ Larsson spoke to rakaka and HLTV.org about his removal from the team in favour of DKtrace. Delpan doesn’t have much to say but the public had been waiting for a statement from him on why he no longer plays for SK and whether or not he will continue in CS. He suggests he likely will not.

Speaking to HLTV.org the AWP star said:

Delpan had long been known around the semi-pro scene in Sweden, though not always for good reasons. It wasn’t until 2009 he got his first real shot at the top tier as his underdog MYM.swe team shocked the world at IEM IV Dubai, placing second and owning Vitriolic (NEO and company) along the way. Later that year, 2009, they won Dreamhack Winter.

In late 2010 Delpan stood-in for SK at WEM and helped them to a second place finish at the Chinese event, including a train victory over Na`Vi. Swapping over to fnatic for the start of 2011 he won the IEM V European Championship but then suffered the same slump as the rest of his team-mates. In the Summer of 2011 he joined SK and things turned around for all involved. SK won Dreamhack Summer, ICSC8 and GameGune in a row, including an incredible streak of wins over fnatic. Later in the year SK also won IEM VI New York and ESWC.
